Times are still tough in today's economy, and we all know a little help goes a long way. Since 1983, the Marlboro Food Bank, located at Trinity Episcopal Church, has been a joint ministry of a group in Upper Marlboro churches. Once a month they choose one weekend where they distribute pre-dominantly food to their clients in need. With the help and support of other local businesses, they have been able to donate other items.
Batteries, Inc. has donated over 7,000 AA and AAA batteries this year alone. Especially with the holidays coming up, batteries to power up your childrens toys or other electronics in the house, will be an added holiday gift.
Any item that can be donated makes a big difference. People in our local community will appreciate any help given. It may be early but get in that 'holiday-giving' spirit and help our neighbors out.
